My goal for every session is to capture the love and connection between you and your loved ones. I know professional photos can often feel like a big production where everyone has to be on their best behavior, but not here. Here, we welcome the mess, the chaos, the movement, and even the tears. You will get to cuddle and dance and play after I have strategically placed you in beautiful light. I refer to my style as "loose posing", but I will give you as much or as little direction as you need.

I curate your gallery to reflect the best moments from your session, as well as the best of my work. Mini sessions include 10-15 images, Family sessions include 40 digital images, Adventure sessions include 50 images, Storytelling sessions include 45 images.
Weddings include 350+ images per package, depending on shoot time selected. A typical wedding gallery is 500-900 images.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY SHOOT?
This is a great question! My number one "rule" for attire is that you should be comfortable. If you or your children are wearing stiff, itchy clothing, or have to keep tugging at clothing, it is much harder to relax and have a good time at your session. To help with direction on colors, patterns, and styling, I have a style guide that you will receive after booking to help you pull together the perfect look.
WHAT ARE YOUR TRAVEL FEES?
I do not charge travel fees for photo sessions booked in the greater Albuquerque area. Further travel is dependent on availability.
Wedding Travel for southern New Mexico, Colorado, or Arizona is a flat rate of $500. US travel outside of the Southwest is a flat rate of $1500. International travel is negotiated based on current travel costs for the area.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
Deposits are made at booking and are non-refundable to hold your date. However, I understand that things happen. Therefore, I do allow rescheduling in most cases without any penalty. If you have paid more than the deposit for your session and need to cancel, you can chose to keep the balance as credit towards a future session. Further refund options will be at the photographers discretion. In the unlikely event that I had to cancel your session, you would receive a full refund.
WHAT IF THERE'S BAD WEATHER?
We are so fortunate to live in a state that has an average of 293 sunny days per year! If you are feeling adventurous, we can still shoot in most weather. Who doesn't love jumping in rainy puddles? If the weather is severe (thunderstorms, excessive wind speeds, extreme cold or snow) or playing in the rain isn't your thing, no worries! I stay in constant communication with you and will reach out so that we can either reschedule your date, or move locations.
What is the difference between family, Adventure, and storytelling sessions?
I have made a post about each of these sessions in my journal (blog) *link* to show the difference between each of these sessions. There is a lot that goes into each sessions, and I want you to have the most complete picture of what each session includes.
Why are wedding dates limited?
In order to provide the best service and availability to both wedding and family clients, as well as balance the demands of my own family life, I limit the amount of weddings I take per year and per season. This allows me to give each client the appropriate amount of attention and keeps turnaround times shorter.
HOW DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENTS?
Payments can be made via any major credit card through our Square payment service, check, or cash. However, please keep in mind that you are not considered booked until the deposit for your date is received.
What is a mini session?
A mini session is a short session (10-30 minutes) that allows you to get a handful of beautiful images at a lower cost than a full session. These typically offered seasonally and do not apply to Adventure sessions.
How do I know which session is right for me?
Choosing a session type can be hard, but ask yourself what you imagine your final delivered images to look like. Do you want to capture big family art for your walls (adventure or family), or do you want capture a specific moment, holiday, or memory like pumpkin carving, a family dinner with the grandparents, or the way your home feels when your little ones crawl into bed with you for morning snuggles (storytelling)?
