Welcome!

For those that know me already, I am happy to announce that I have reopened Britianie Tyler Photography after 2.5 years! For those that don’t know me or are coming here for the first time, my name is Britianie. I am a full time photographer and a mom of two and I have lived in New Mexico almost my entire life. You can read a little more about me on my biography page, but here are some photos of the last year!

Running a business is tough work. I had hit a point in my life that I was struggling to juggle being a mom, with my mental health, the pandemic, and many other personal trials. When you are self employed, its very easy to get overwhelmed by the fact that you are responsible for every aspect of your work. It was difficult for me to close my business, but it was necessary. I spent a lot of time these last few years learning some of the skills that I struggled most with while running my business previously. I now even have a Master’s degree in Business Administration (yes, I took it that seriously!). I am so much more confident in who I am and what I want to do than I ever have been.

For those that do know me, you’ll notice that things look a little bit different around here! I am really leaning into the things that fill my soul with joy. This means you will find some of the old things, and a lot of new things. I am now offering Adventure and Storytelling sessions in addition to family sessions, and for a limited time, I have Mini Family and Mini Storytelling sessions. This also means that my scheduling and availability will be much more balanced. One of the biggest lessons I learned after 2019-2021 was that I can’t give away all of myself and expect to be happy.

Starting in January 2023, I will also be offering mentoring, portfolio reviews, resources for photographers, as well as beginner or hobbyists who just want to learn the basics of photography. There will be options for paid workshops and resources but I will also have a lot of free goodies, blog posts, and videos available too, so I hope you stick around.
