Saturday Morning | Storytelling | Albuquerque Family Photographer

When I first met Nadya and Galen, it was a month before their wedding at a small sandwich shop that isn’t around anymore. I didn’t know it then, but it was the start of a really beautiful long term relationship for us. I have photographed their wedding at Old Town Farm here in Albuquerque, and two family sessions in their home. The Loughrey family truly embodies what storytelling sessions are about. At their most recent session, they invited their parents (the grandparents) to join us for the start of the session before I photographed them as a family of four. There was apple picking, tire swings, and books galore. Lots of cuddles, lots of giggles, and a lot of small moments that pull together into one sweet Saturday morning story.

It is not lost on me how special it is when clients allow me into thier homes. I do not take for granted the opportunity to be welcomed into their space and invited to share in their special every day moments. Storytelling sessions are a soft spot for me, as I always leave with my heart feeling a little more full.
