I have photographed Josh and Veronica numerous times. Not only because they are beautiful people, but because I have the honor of being their sister. I was hiding with my camera the day Josh proposed to Veronica during a rainstorm, and I was with them again for their engagement photos at Fenton lake, their first pregnancy, and family photos since. Josh is my youngest brother, and I remember when my parents brought him home! Sometimes it feels so unreal that that little baby is now a dad to three.

For this family session, we went to a spot that I used to shoot at years ago. I hadn’t been in a while, and much of the riverbank that I used to use was washed out. Fortunately, with a little bit of a walk out, and a dark walk back to the parking lot, we found a cute little rock beach. This day was completely overcast and really just had a moody, dramatic feel, which I loved for those tiny detail shots.
